A Set of Eight Custom Bridesmaid Clutches

I know that for brides, giving just the right gift to your bridesmaids must be special and meaningful. After all, for most of us, these are the gals who have been through it all with us.... the ups, the downs, the smiles, the tears, the moments we wish we could remember forever (and maybe some moments you want to forget!) So how do you choose just the right gift that sums it up in one small gesture? That says "Thank you" for being here on my special day and supporting me through it all?

Well, only you can really decide that! But we are happy to be here to help you in the process! I can literally create almost anything you envision giving to your special gals. Whether it's a personalized necklace, special gemstone earrings, a romper, or embroidered hankies, we can make it happen!

The beginnings of 8 clutches

Chelsea, one of our brides,  chose to have clutches made for each of her bridesmaids using a rose champagne satin and vintage style chantilly lace.  Because our products are made by local designers, Chelsea was able to pick the exact fabrics and lace that she wanted for her gifts. She didn't have to worry about ordering from a far away place and taking a gamble as to how they would turn out.

Continue on to see the pictures from behind the scenes (or rather machines!) of how they were each stitched and assembled by hand....

First, all the pieces were cut and pinned together.

There really aren't any universal clutch purse patterns out there because each has to be fitted to the frame that it will be attached to.  So Robin makes her own patterns based on the size and shape of the purse frame that the bride selects.

Next, the lace was sewn on, and the layers stitched together....

The corners were then mitered... Here's what they looked like during sewing...

One of the last steps was adding the designer's label to the inside. By the way, I can also embroider here as well. Some good options include the wedding date, a special nickname or phrase, the name of the bridesmaid, or maybe simply just "maid of honor."

Finally after the purses were turned rightside out and attached to the frame, they really looked special! The process took almost 7 hours to complete, but in the end, Chelsea had 8 one-of-a-kind clutches to give to her bridesmaids. Here's what she had to say about them:

"I just wanted to let you know I did receive the clutches last week and I absolutely love them! They turned out so elegant! I cant wait to give them as gifts. Thanks for all of you help."  ----Chelsea

Thank YOU Chelsea for letting us be part of your special day!---Robin
